SPW Online Workshop: Flower Photography

This workshop is for those who want to learn how to make pictures that inspire people. It will be a combination of technical information to help you get the most out of your gear as well as guidance on seeing and creating images as an artist. You’ll need a DSLR and a basic understanding of how to access the camera settings to operate it in Aperture Priority and Manual Mode.

In this online workshop you would see many techniques from the traditional to more creative options that will give flower images a distinctive and artistic look. Mentor will share reviews on his own extensive gallery of images, discussing the methods used to achieve some of his favourite flower photographs.

The workshop is perfect for any photographer looking to keep active in any genres of photography.

Who can attend this workshop?

If you have a DSLR Camera with any kit lens and also have a Laptop with good internet connection, then you are eligible for this workshop.

Key Points:

We will review some of selected images and discuss methods used to achieve.

We will work with Lightroom and Photoshop to understand how they could help in post processing.

Experience Level:

Don't be afraid. This is a friendly workshop aimed at making you feel comfortable with information which would be shared during session. You don't need to be an accomplished photographer, but a basic understanding of camera settings would be your advantage.

Ultimately, the most important thing about any of the workshops is that 'it is fun and that you enjoy it'.

After completion you will learn:

- Why beautiful and photogenic are different

- Pre-visualize your image

- Use focus to isolating a subject

- Importance of the background

- Composing nature as abstracts

- Control depth of field

- Make the subject pop out of image

- Using ambient light

- Taking advantage of rainy season and capture water droplets

- Special post-processing techniques (traditional to artistic presentation)
